Paint correction is a widely used term for polishing imperfections, swirl marks and scratches out of clear coat and automotive paint jobs.

It is not a scam. It is not the same as a “auto detail”. It is not a quick “buffer job”. Properly done paint correction takes a significant amount of time and skill to accomplish great results.

This video goes over some reasons you may need or want paint correction performed on your paint job. I will get more in depth in later videos as this is a big topic.

Some new cars need paint correction. Some used cars need paint correction. Some exotic cars need paint correction. Believe it or not, some boats, yachts and planes also need paint correction.

Paint correction is a confusing process and topic for many that are not involved in the car scene or detailing industry. Many videos have been posted showing paint scratches being polished to near perfection. But, do you really understand the difference between a ‘All In One’ product, a single step polish, a two step correction or a three step correction?

Most of us have sanded a piece of wood at some point in our life. I wanted to use something familiar to explain what is really happening during the paint correction process. It’s also important to know the difference between a quick polish and a multi-step correction. Are you getting what you paid for?
