 It’s hard to believe it has been 7 years since we received the keys to our Signal Hill shop. Since that day, countless hours of planning and hard work have gone into transforming this facility into what it is today. Our vision was nothing short of becoming the most well-equipped detail shop in southern California. Fast forward to 2022 and our vision for Polished Protection has become a reality! Come tour the fully remodeled shop with us!

The famous Polished Protection detail shop boasts 8,500 sqft. of shop space. Upon arriving, you will see our clearly marked inspection area directly outside our check-in office. Once you’re all checked in, one of our awesome staff members will give you a full in-person tour of our detail facility. You will understand how your car will be serviced throughout our shop.

Cars start in one of two car wash bays both equipped with state of the art water filtration systems in compliance with California’s car wash laws. After your car is clean, it will move to our prep room where your car will undergo all the necessary preparations for the services we are performing. From that point we are either heading to the paint correction / ceramic coating room or underground climate-controlled paint protection film and window tint room. Upon completion of your protection services, your car will return ground level to our final inspection area where you and a Polished Protection professional will do a complete walk through inspection of the services performed on your vehicle.

How do I wash my new ceramic coated car?!

Here are the proper methods to wash your ceramic coated vehicle with the minimal chance of scratches.

This should work for all ceramic coated vehicles. If your vehicle has been driven off-road or in the rain, you may need to follow the original foam wash with a hand wash to properly loosen any leftover dirt. Always move towels in a side to side direction and never a circular motion. Work from the top of the panel to the bottom of the panel. This prevents pulling heavier debris from the bottom of the panel and spreading it across the panel.

We use Polished Car Care Cleanse car wash soap because it applies a layer of si02 every time we wash the car. Typically washing a ceramic coated car will abrade the coating with each car wash procedure. By using PCC Cleanse ceramic infused car wash soap, the abrading is minimized.

We use Polished Car Care Elevate as our go to ceramic coating spray detailer. PCC Elevate is infused with si02. This product is easy to apply and minimizes any streaking. We recommend this product to remove any leftover contaminants after the wash method.
