What is Clear Bra/PPF?
Clear Bra, also known as Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear film made of thermoplastic-urethane. The film is supplied with a pressure contact adhesive that bonds to finished surfaces such as paint or plastic. The film is designed to protect the surface of paint by creating a resilient barrier that forms a ricochet effect that will take years of abuse from rocks, gravel, sand, dirt, salt, and other road debris. Protection is achieved by applying a skintight bond of a transparent film over the surface of the paint. This cutting edge film shields your paint from day to day hazards you experience on the road.
Will clear bra affect the appearance of my vehicle?
The clear bra film is virtually undetectable if you do not know it is on the car. The edges of the film follow the contour of the body of your vehicle. PPF is difficult to see once it is properly applied. The film is 95% clear.
How long does it take to install a full kit?
On average, installation time ranges from 4-6 hours, depending on the complexity of the kit and/or your vehicle. Premium full coverage installations will take longer.
How long does the film last?
Today’s Paint Protection Film lasts longer than ever. We have seen cars with older substandard films dry out and yellow within two years. Our film backed by a 5 year warranty to warrant against cracking, bubbling, or yellowing of the film.
Can PPF be installed on a vehicle a few years old?
Yes. A vehicle with scratches, swirls, chips, or oxidation must be fixed before applying PPF film. We will remove the imperfections, then apply the film.
Can I get Clear Bra after my vehicle has been painted?
No. The paint must cure for 30 days before applying clear bra.
